Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe is to meet a group of legal experts today to discuss the Supreme Court directive with regard to the FR petition filed by former Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.
A two judge bench of the Supreme Court last week announced that Rajapaksa cannot be arrested until the petition is being heard. The case is to be taken up for hearing on October 6th.
The Prime Minister has said the matter will be presented to the Commonwealth legal office for an interpretation.
