Following a spectacular 27-14 win against Philippines at the Asian Five Nations rugby tournament on May 09, Sri Lanka qualified for the Asian Five Nations Top 5.

Steered by Fazil Marija, Sri Lanka competed against Philippines, Kazakhstan and Singapore in Manila.
