The Director Board of the NFC should consist of 10 including the Chairman. However, only Nadeesha Hemamali and V. Dayaratne have been appointed to the Board so far. Nadeesha has already declined the position.

Although two lecturers representing the University sector should be appointed, it is yet to be done.

As the appointment of the Director Board is far from complete, the chairman is unable to take any decision with regard to the administration or the film industry itself, sources reveal.

Even Deepal Chandraratne was appointed as the NFC chairman only on March 11, 2015.
