Speaking, a senior official of the Justice ministry said that the objective of this new programme is to ensure the trust and security of parties involved in land deals.

Accordingly, measures have been taken to amend the Notaries Ordinance, he added.

The Justice ministry has tabled the amended ordinance Bill before the ministry of Public Administration.

After obtaining the recommendations of the Public Administration ministry, the Bill is to be tabled before parliament.

This Bill is being formulated to secure the public trust on land deals in a backdrop of reports alleging land deal related fraud in the recent past.
