Although investigations on 08 individuals who faced such alleges had concluded, the government had decided not to take any measures against them until the 19th Amendment was passed.

Minister of Public Order - John Amaratunga says that the they have received details which prove that majority of suspects being questioned are guilty of such wrongdoings.
