The Tamil Media Forum said the journalists have not been informed of the reason for their summoning.

The journalists are Anthony Thevarajan Mark (Rupavahini Corporation), Jude Palestis (ITN), Lambert Rosairo (freelance) and Ponnaia Manikkavasagam (BBC and Virakesari).

Another journalist James Joseph Fernando of Mannar was questioned by Jaffna police on April 26.

Previously he too, had been ordered to appear at the CCD.

A statement had been recorded from him over an article he had written for Virakesari in 2009 with regard to resettlement in Manthai, Vavuniya.

He had been asked to reveal sources for the story.

The then resettlement minister Risath Badurdeen is a minister in the present regime too, jdslanka.org reports.
