Based on a promise given by the President Maithripala Sirisena, Venerable Maduluwawe  Sobitha Thero has stopped the sathyagraha.

A group consisting of the National Movement for a Just Society led by Venerable Maduluwawe Sobitha Thero engaged in a sathyagraha near the parliament roundabout today (27) urging all parliamentarians to support the 19th amendment.

They marched from the Ayurveda Junction at Rajagiriya to the parliament roundabout.
