It constitutes of political party representatives, university teachers, representatives of civil organizations and was to head to the parliament roundabout.

Sri Lanka Mirror reporter stated that the group is currently heading towards the parliament despite police interference.

The Mirror reporter further stated that police barriers,water cannon and additional police squads have been placed on the road which gives access to the parliament and as a result there is a massive traffic in the Athurugurya- Battaramulla road.
