President Sirisena has expressed his views regarding this new proposal yesterday when he had met SLFP MPs in parliament, SLFP MP Ranjith Soysa has said.

He has further said that the President has discussed the matter with SLFP MPs individually.

"We were told that the party must go forward by reorganizing from ground level. The President is also of the view that the May day rally should be conducted successfully. It was a friendly discussion," the MP has noted.
