The positions of district coach and development coach appointed by Sri Lanka Cricket have become white elephants that serve no purpose, say school cricket authorities.
The SLC is presently maintaining 36 district coaches and 21 development coaches, who get paid Rs. 100,000 and Rs. 300,000 each respectively per month.
Some of these district coaches even do not come to watch school cricket matches, school officials charge.
