She was speaking today (09) at a function which marked the commencement of the programme in Colombo district to grant nutritional packs to expectant mothers.

The minister said the 100 day government was formed in order to end the era where there was no democracy and bribery, corruption, lawlessness reigned.

She said promises were given to introduce the 19th amendment and other laws to rectify all these.

If those who raised their hands in support of the 18th amendment to grant powers to a single individual to enjoy all the powers, now say they will not support the 19th amendment, they are traitors, Ada reported her as saying.
