The former president made this comment participating in a ceremony where Minister Arjuna Ranatunge assumed duties as the SLFP organizer for Attanagalla.

Kumaratunge further said that she is ready to face the challenge if former president Mahinda Rajapaksa tries to destroy the country.

"We are aware of the Rajapaksa's plan to create chaos once again. But we caution them to stand down. But if they continue their schemes of destroying the country we are ready to face that challenge," she charged.
