The group is taking measures to handover the no-faith motion to the Speaker after collecting ample signatures required for the purpose.
Their intention is to prevent Parliament from being suddenly dissolved through the no-faith motion.
The Sri Lanka Freedom Party, which holds the majority of MPs in parliament, has already opposed a sudden dissolving of parliament, without introducing electoral reforms.
\Meanwhile, several ministers of the SLFP had met with the party patron - former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga on Thursday evening, urging to introduce constitutional reforms and electoral reforms simultaneously.
They have also urged to hold the upcoming General election under the new electoral system.
