They have told her that they had accepted ministerial portfolios upon a decision taken by the SLFP central committee over these two matters, and warned they would resign if that does not happen.
Meanwhile, SLFP youth front chairman and deputy media minister Shantha Bandara told the media yesterday that they would support the government only if both constitutional and electoral reforms take place at the same time.
None of the young SLFP MPs would extend their support if there is a constitutional amendment only.
He too, stressed that they had accepted government positions on the basis of that precondition.
