Suspects in the custody of the CID are Lt. Commander Prasad Hettiarachchi and former Petty Officer Seneviratne and Lt. Commander Sampath Munasinghe, personal aide to ex-Navy commander Wasantha Karannagoda.

Raviraj was gunned down in Colombo on 10 November 2006.

Commenting on the arrest of the suspects, his daughter Pravina has told BBC Sandeshaya that there was a hope for long-delayed justice now.
