"During his visit to Sri Lanka, Memoranda of Understanding covering youth development activities, development of sports as well as exchange of information, communications and information technology will be signed between Sri Lanka and Qatar," the embassy said in a statement.

The Emir's Asian visit, which runs from April 23-25, includes trips to Pakistan, Sri Lanka and India.

During his tour, the Emir is expected to hold talks with leaders and senior officials from these countries over ways to enhance cooperation, strengthen ties and solve issues of common concern.
