A former minister told ‘Sri Lanka Mirror’ that Sobhitha Thera would be appointed to parliament on the national list.
A general election would be held after the parliamentary passage of the new constitutional draft bill to abolish powers of the executive presidency and for a new electoral system, introduced by Sobhitha Thera’s National Movement for a Just Society and Ven. Athuraliye Rathana Thera’s Pivithuru Hetak, he said.
If Sobhitha Thera disagrees to the suggestion, Rathana Thera would be appointed the premier, he added.
