Their decision follows the Colombo magistrate’s court on March 06 having rejected a bail application filed by Balendran Jeyakumary, who has been detained for nearly one year without charges.

Meanwhile, foreign affairs minister Mangala Samaraweera told Sri Lanka Mirror that there was strong suspicion that military intelligence personal loyal to former defence secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa were sabotaging the new government’s measures to build better relations with other countries.
