Prof. Rajiva Wijesinha has said that although the Minister for Highways, Higher Education and Investment Promotions Kabir Hashim had requested him to remain in his ministerial position promising that his problems would be addressed, he resigned from his post on Tuesday (24) and handed his official vehicle over to the authorities since the issues were not addressed.
Former state ministers Faizer Musthapa and Prof. Rajiva Wijesinha who recently resigned from their ministerial portfolios have decided to meet President Maithripala Sirisena shortly to discuss several key issues.
