At the polls after the dissolution of parliament in April, the SLFP-led UPFA would contest under the leadership of president Maithripala Sirisena and form a government, he says.
He is giving an interview to BBC Sandeshaya following his appointment as the SLFP national organizer.
When pointed out that president Sirisena has agreed to remain neutral at the general election, Premajayantha said he could not do so as he is the leader of a political party.
Questioned about Mahinda Rajapaksa’s role in the SLFP, he said the ex-president himself should decide as to whether he would contest the upcoming polls.
