The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) has recorded a statement from former Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa in connection with the investigations into the armouries of the Avant Garde and Rakna Lanka companies.
Police spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana said that a partial statement was statement was recorded from the former Defence Secretary today (13).
The spokesman stated that Gotabaya Rajapaksa had informed the CID that he would provide a full statement after looking into the necessary documents.
