Moratuwa Uni. develops software translating Braille to Sinhala

The Moratuwa University has developed a software that enables to translate Braille to Sinhala.

The software, which is undergoing testing, will be launched soon, the university’s IT department head - Dr. Lochandaka Ranathunga said to media.

He has also added that the Ceylon School for the deaf and blind has contributed to the creation of the software.

The software has been created by undergraduates Charmali de Silva, N.G. Chandana SriLal and Harsha B. Atapattu under the purview of Dr. Lochandaka Ranathunga.
