Speaking to 'BBC Sandeshaya', the deputy minister has said that in addition to the letters forwarded to the President, the Prime Minister and the IGP on this regard, she has also spoken to relevant authorities on the phone, urging them to take necessary measures.

They have said that action would be take on this regard, she has added.

Speaking further, she has said, 'When I visited several areas in Jaffna today, the residents showed me a large number of closed wells in the region. The civilians suspect that persons who are deemed as disappeared during the war were killed before being pushed into these wells.'
