No bail for Choka malli

Pelmadulla Magistrate Dinesh Lakmal Perera today (09) ordered to further remand four suspects of the election-related shooting incident in Kahawatta, until Jan. 23.

The suspects include former deputy minister Premalal Jayasekara alias 'Choka Malli'.

Attorney-At-law Namal Rajapaksa, Chief Opposition Whip - W.D.J. Seneviratne and former minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi appeared on behalf of the suspects.

Two more suspects arrested by the CID over the incident are to be produced at an identification parade today.
