He assured the Party MPs to have no fear and was confident of positive results at the forthcoming Parliamentary election.

President Maithripala Sirisena said that the SLFP had no proper leadership which was taken over by outsiders, a reference to Namal Rajapaksa.

He said he was not looking for praise from anyone and that everyone should be free to criticise and tell the government where it was going wrong.

President Maithripala Sirisena made the remarks when he addressed a group of SLFP Parliamentarians on Wednesday.

He was given a rousing applause for the leadership he has now given the Party.
