CSN is said to have obtained the rights to telecast the cricket World Cup which is also contested by the Sri Lanka team and the party was intended to procure advertisements for the channel during the event which starts on February 14 and runs up to March 29.
As many as 160 are permanent employees of the CSN company.
Six non-permanent employees have already been put out of work, srilankamirror learns.
According to inside sources at CSN, the company has targetted Rs.400 million as revenue from telecasting the World Cup.
