Sri Lankan Cricket has announced the appointment via a media released published on their official website.

The SLC media release says that Ratnayake will be joining the squad from the 4th of February upto the 20th of February.

He will be assisting the National Team’s preparation for the upcoming ICC World Cup in New Zealand and Australia, it adds.

SLC has made the inclusion taking into consideration the views of the Chairman of Selectors and the National team Management. All other support staff personnel will remain intact with the squad, the media release further states.
