The NEC came to a decision that an urgent action should be taken against the CJ as he had taken part in a conspiracy against the state said Mr. Dissanayaka adding that the CID is conducting investigations already.

He said important matters such as bringing in and adopting in Parliament intensive amendments to the Constitution, re-establishing independent commissions, bringing in the Right for Information Bill were discussed.

Also, it was discussed to establish a special unit to investigate abductions, murders and other crimes that were committed and to take legal action against the perpetrators said Mr. Dissanayaka.
