The right to information is to be once again incorporated into the country's Constitution enshrined as a Fundamental Right under Section 14, government inside sources revealed.

A Committee will also be appointed to look into all aspects of the Right to Information Act before it is taken to Parliament for a final debate and implementation.

The Committee will be headed by lawyer Jayampathi Wickremaratne.

Wickremaratne has been in the forefront of a vibrant campaign to safeguard the people's right to information.
