A single cab vehicle provided to film actress Anarkali Akarsha by the previous government for propaganda work at the Southern Provincial Council election was found by police in a garage today (January 20) in an unserviceable state with parts pulled out and gone missing.

It has been reported that the vehicle was brought to Matara after it met with an accident at Deniyaya.

Bearing registration number 50-4597, the vehicle is said to have been provided to Anarkali at the intercession of member of Parliament Dilum Amunugama.

An attempt by srilankamirror to reach out to Amunugama for his reaction proved futile. He is the nephew of former Minister in the Rajapaksa administration Sarath Amunugama.

Ex-Minister Amunugama was one of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party members who pledged support for President Maithripala Sirisena after his election victory.
