Police Spokesperson SSP Ajith Rohana said that the two politicians were arrested by the Kadawatha police earlier today in connection with the assault incident.
The Mahara Magistrate today (Jan. 19) released on bail former Deputy Minister Dulip Wijesekara and the Chairman of the Biyagama Pradeshiya Sabha, who were arrested following an alleged assault incident on the Presidential election day (Jan. 08).
