Weerawansa, the leader of the Jathika Nidahas Peramuna, had earlier said that he would support new President Maithripala Sirisena's 100-day program both in Parliament as well as outside.

But his party's Media spokesman Mohamed Muzammil has remarked that they will be against moves to replace the governor of the Northern Province and the Chief Justice Mohan Peiris who was installed in a disputed manner.

He also called for what he said were attacks against Opposition supporters.
