In an unprecedented development the leading hotel close the Katunayake airport called the Gateway Hotel Airport Garden has been fully booked with not a single room left.
Several star class hotels including the Gateway Hotel Airport Garden told srilankamirror that they did not expect such a large number of bookings that has led to a congestion of sorts.
They said the bookings were made by affluent VIPs and refused to disclose names.
