number of supporters of common candidate Maithripala Sirisena including politicians and artistes joined the event.

Reports say that the event was flanked by around 5,000 supporters.

Speaking, co-spokesperson of the common candidate and UNP MP - Mangala Samaraweera said, "On the day where campaigning activities of this decisive election comes to an end, this event is held to support the cause to set up a compassionate governance."
