Chinthana Ekanayake a member of the Central Provincial Council said addressing a Press conference today in Matale (January 1) that unlike his father he will not cross over to the Opposition.

"My father has taken a decision to support Maithripala Sirisena and I think this is not the appropriate way to do things at a time we are supporting President Mahinda Rajapaksa. I am a hundred percent committed to supporting President Mahinda Rajapaksa who rooted out terrorism from this country after many years", said Chinthana Ekanayake.

Nandimithra Ekanayake served as deputy minister of Higher Education.
