Justice Gunawardena made the order after taking up a petition filed by former Magistrate Lenin Ratnayake.

Citing the film's Director, Prasanna Vithanage and several others as respondents, the petitioner claimed the film was based on a false story relating to him and that it defamed the judiciary as well.
