Sri Lankan Airlines to take over Mihin Lanka services

Sri Lankan Airlines - the national carrier of the island nation - will take over all the services of Mihin Lanka, the subsidiary of the airlines, effective from October 30.

In a notification, the Sri Lankan Airlines stated that it would be absorbing all Mihin Lanka's routes under its extensive network and continue the services.

Mihin Lanka officials in Madurai said the Madurai-Colombo flights operated by Mihin Lanka on Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday would be taken over by Sri Lankan Airlines and there would not be any change in arrival (3.10pm) and departure (4.35pm) timings.

Mihin Lanka operates flights to Indian cities like Chennai, Gaya, Kolkata, Thiruvananthapuram, Varanasi and Madurai. In addition, it operates flights to Bangladesh, Indonesia, the Maldives, Pakistan, Thailand, Singapore, the Seychelles and the Middle East.
