Nine cricket clubs to lose privileges Featured

Sri Lanka Cricket has decided to stop the payments and other privileges to nine of its member clubs for failing to act in accordance with the cricket constitution.

However, these clubs will be allowed to take part in the upcoming inter-club tournament, said SLC president Thilanga Sumathipala.

Some of these clubs have not conducted their annual general meetings since 2012, while others are yet to submit their audit reports.

These clubs will be given a certain period to rectify their wrongs and to become entitled to the privileges once again.

The clubs are Bloomfield cricket club, Baduraliya cricket club, southern province cricket association, Negombo cricket club, Matara district cricket association, Puttalam district cricket association, Kollupitiya spots club, Nomads and Peterson sports club.
