Party leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake says the two were having an understanding, although some accuses the JVP of having a ‘deal’ with the UNP.

Speaking to the media today (03), Dissanayake said it was also part of this secret pact that the investigations against Basil and Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and other members of the Rajapaksa family have been covered up.

Furthermore, Wickremesinghe is having a similar understanding with NFF leader Wimal Weerawansa, who is yet to be arrested over charges of having prepared a fake passport and having more than one passport, the JVP also charged.

However, the UNP rejects the JVP accusation about the presence of a secret deal with the Rajapaksas, BBC Sandeshaya reports.
