The event was held to honour and celebrate individuals and groups whose efforts and achievements have brought Prestige to Sri Lanka, positively impacting the local community and helping to profile Sri Lanka among the international community.

The highlight of the evening was the acknowledgement of Sri Lankan cricket legend Kumar Sangakkara for his contribution to sport and was presented the ‘Icon of the Year’ award and also took home the ‘Popular Award’.

Awards were presented to individuals who had excelled in various fields under 13 categories including Sports, Global Entertainer, Unsung Hero, Entertainer, Global Scientist, Icon, Entrepreneur, and Global Businessman.
