Thondaman’s reminder came at a party he gave them at his home at Battaramulla last week.
Noting that he no longer wielded power in the estates, the CWC leader said he would not be able to do anything at the upcoming local government polls.
He also said UNP’s minister Palani Digambaram was now enjoying authority in the estates, and explained how that would affect the SLFP.
The SLFP is paying attention to his request as it is getting ready to contest the elections together with the CWC.
Dissanayake has agreed to raise Thondaman’s demands with president Maithripala Sirisena, lankanewsline reports.
