The hospital buys medicines worth around Rs. 30 million a month, and he had received a commission of Rs. 35 per cent.
Initial investigations show that several top police officials had shared the commission money.
All of them are under investigation.
A CID investigation has revealed that a top official at the police hospital in Narahenpita has earned commissions of more than Rs. 10 million from petty purchases of medicines for the hospital.
