The government of Japan has decided to provide further grant aid for humanitarian demining in Northern Sri Lanka under its Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Project (GGP).
Yesterday, the Japanese government granted Rs. 86,399,929 for the cause.
The grant contract was signed yesterday (01) by Ambassador of Japan - Mr. Kenichi Suganuma and Mr. Robert Syfret, Operations Manager, The HALO Trust at the Embassy of Japan, Colombo 7.
