He had been returning home from his office at Epitamulla, Pitakotte yesterday night (24), when his car was blocked and he was assaulted.

Doctors say he has broken bones in his face, and he narrowly escaped being injured in his right eye.

The man who is said to have assaulted Dodamgoda has got admitted himself to Kalubowila Hospital.

Reports say he is being aided by Mirihana police.

He has no injuries needing hospital treatment, except for bruises in the knuckles which he had suffered when attacking Dodamgoda.

There are rumours that he is heavily into a certain narcotic drug, and is a constant trouble-maker.
