Police investigations so far reveal that another businessman owed Rs. 40 million to the 29 year old Suleiman, but he had not paid the money.

Suleiman has lodged a complaint with the CID about this.

Police are investigating a possible link between this matter and his abduction.

Two nights ago, he had dinner with a friend at a restaurant at Bambalapitiya, dropped the friend and reached home.

He had given a call to his wife to open the door, but when she opened it, she saw another vehicle leaving in a hurry.

Suleiman had not been in his vehicle, and there were bloodstains near it.

His mobile phone and car keys too, are missing.

Police are investigating the calls received by him.
