It has now come to light that while serving as an air hostess, Nitya has also worked as a directress of Namal’s Gower’s Corporation.
Sujani had been the general manager of Namal’s NR Associates.
Champika had been a one-time close associate of Shashindra Rajapaksa, and after leaving him following a dispute, he became private secretary to Shiranthi Rajapaksa.
Later, he has had close connections with Namal.
He was a coordinating secretary to the Highways Ministry, director of the Timber Corporation, employee of the Port and Shipping Ministry and a chief organizer of Namal’s Tharunyata Hetak and Nil Balakaya.
He stands accused of having drawn three salaries from the National Lotteries Board, Highways Ministry and the Ports Ministry.
Champika is also under probe over a fraud at the Timber Corporation, arrested over misuse of state funds and out on a Rs. 25,000 cash bail and a Rs. 02 million surety ordered by Colombo Fort magistrate Priyantha Liyanage.
The FCID has found 10 gold biscuits weighing 1.106 kilos from his no. 472, Wewa Para, Boralesgamuwa home.
