A group including Buddhist monks said to be from ‘Sinhale’ stormed a peaceful protest against racism that was taking place at Bauddhaloka Mawatha in Colombo yesterday afternoon (15), BBC Sandeshaya reports.

The event was organized under the title ‘we all have the same blood’.

The ‘Sinhale’ group disrupted its proceedings and tore up several placards on display.

They have carried flags bearing the name ‘Sinhale’ with them.

Police said the protest by civil society activists was disrupted by a certain group.
