Tennakoon, who has been summoned to the CID to give a statement, is due to return home at the end of this month from the US where he now lives, police department sources say.
Udalagama was produced before Gamapaha chief magistrate Kavindya Nanayakkara yesterday (08) in connection with the case into the assault of Tennakoon on 23 January 2009 in Gampaha.
He is to be produced before courts on August 22, and the CID asked that he be produced for an identification parade and said that witnesses will be called to give evidence on that day.
Websites reported at the time that the then Army chief Sarath Fonseka was behind the assault on Tennakoon.
