He was speaking thus at a rally in Pannipitiya yesterday (24).
Nagamuwa said as follows :
"There is a folk tale where all the animals were trying to select the king of the forest. The candidates were the lion and the wolf. The lion said, look how beautiful my mane is. A beautiful king such as myself would make you proud. Meanwhile, the wolf said, I have a strong voice. I can use it to defend you in the face of a powerful enemy. But the true dilemma faced by the other animals such as rabbits and deer, (who were the voters) was not about beauty or the strong voice. It was about them ending up as prey of the ruler, regardless of the who was chosen."
