Ministry Secretary Jagath Wijeweera said that discussions between the University of Jaffna administration, students and parents along with President Maithripala Sirisena were fruitful. 

The government expressed its regret over the recent clashes that took place in University of Jaffna premises and was of the view that such incidents should not be repeated, he added.
Several students of University of Jaffna expressed that they were satisfied with the current condition of the Campus.
